The program can auto-paint, but I think other simulated painting programs could do a better job. You've done the right thing in exactly describing what you want to do, and for that reason I don't think Painter would give you the best of what you'd want. I use Painter 2021, and have had all editions since the program was first invented, where it evolved from a crude, bug-bloated program to the sophisticated software app that is used by professional artists today.
